News Update - March 2022

Engineering notes

Two coupling rods are going through the machining process at Stephenson Engineering with the other two rods still to be forged and machined.

At Bridgnorth some of the front footplating on the the loco has been refitted with a refresh of the paintwork. Shaping of lubrication pipework and attaching connecting fittings starting from the location of the mechanical lubricators is now in progress. This is an intricate job not to be rushed in order to achieve a pleasing result with the attendant by-product of making and fitting support clamps.

Progress continues with the firebox work.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Just a reminder the AGM is this coming weekend on Saturday 2nd April starting at 2 p.m. at the Kidderminster Railway Museum.
