Following the fitting of the right-hand water tank a few weeks ago, various other parts have been refitted such as the cab front spectacle plate, footplating at the front of the tanks alongside the smokebox and the mechanical lubricator.

The left-hand side rear cylinder cover and slide bars are back on as part of the slide bar alignment process.

Various machining jobs on small components are in progress such as motion pins and oil caps plus blanks for the hydraulic testing of the main steam manifold.

Machining of the expansion links at the South Devon Railway is in progress.

The firebox backhead cladding corner sections are having various holes cut in them where they fit over the mountings for various controls and gauges in the cab followed by trial fitting.
